This bread is even better than it’s predecessor. It’s lighter, fluffier and the crust has a nice crunch to it. I’m getting there people!
I am still working on a bread machine Challah (traditional jewish egg bread. Very YUM). Recipe will surely follow once I am pleased with my results (being a perfectionist, it might take a little while).
Here’s how it goes:
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
2 Tbsps. brown sugar
2 1/4 tsp bread machine yeast
1/4 cup oil (vegetable or olive)
1.5 cups whole wheat flour
1.5 cups white all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. skim milk powder
1 tsp salt
Preparation:
1. In the bread machine mold, mix warm water, sugar and yeast. Leave for about 10 minutes, until the yeast begins to react.
2. Pour in the oil, flours, milk powder and salt.
3. Turn on the bread machine on the basic bread cycle. Done
